Since I have moved on to Mastodon from “the fowl place” many people were confused and misunderstood the pachyderm place. Here is a great run down by someone, Marcus Hutchins, on why they were wrong about Mastodon. It will help clarify many things about the “toot” place and hopefully convince you that you can walk away from TurdBird. Even though I have had a Mastodon account since 2018, I even didn’t really get all of the nuances and, frankly, misunderstood the moderation aspect until I read this post. Must read.
